For the northbounder the amount of snow (so far) is not a big deal. Even if
they get another 50" it's not like anyone will be trapsing through snow.

Most nobo's won't be getting to Mt Hood till after August 1st. Plenty of
time for 15 feet or more of snow to melt.

2 things that folks already pointed out:
+ the big snow amounts are at lower elevetions, about normal at higher
elevations. (this is good)
+ lingering snow may delay the onset of trail maintenance. (this could be
bad, but not terrible)

Nobo's, don't get anxious yet. If you're new to the list folks typically get
worked up about this time of year, usually unnecessarily. Wait till April
1st to do any real worrying!
