[pct-l] P.O. Resupply

I was in the Castella p.o. about two months ago and while looking through the log book, I was surprised to see there were VERY, VERY few signatures - A couple dozen at most (for the entire summer). What is happening:
-I expected more signatures than practical?
-Fewer hikers are hitting Castella and the post office?
-The hikers are not aware of the book in the post office?
