[pct-l] Shoes

Wow, my last pair of shoes lasted all of Washington in '06. On and off daily usage in the winter. Then another five hundred miles of yo-yo'ed JMT in '07.
  I had similar results with the pair before that. It seems to me if you are going to spend near three digits for a pair of tennis shoes, they should last at least a few months. Also, when my shoes were retired they did not fail as much as they were just all over worn out.
