It has been snowing up there for the past three days.  It has to be at least 10 inches, likely more.  I would advise calling the NFS In Idylllwild.  There is a very dangerous section within your purposed hike.  A hiker slipped to his death there a few years back, hiking on a snow covered and icy PCT.  This section may not be advisible until late spring.
