I, and others, used our Vapor Trails for the whole hike in 2006. I think B1 had a problem with his and bought a new one at Stehekin, but GG said they would refund his money if he sent in the old one. I've beat mine up pretty bad on rocks here in Peru so got a new one when I found them on sale for $56 on Amazon. But I will fix up the old one and use it when I am rock climbing.
