Almost a foot of snow here in Lake Arrowhead (Middle of C) and more 
expected. By tonight PCT will be deep alpine conditions above 5000 ft for 
all of SoCal and will probably last for the season.

When you get to the top of your first summit, Mt. Laguna, look north.
If you can see snow on the mountains off in the distance you will need
your snow gear very soon. (+/- seven days)
