I'm fond of filks.  Here's the first of what I
hope will be a series of filks inspired by
popular Christmas songs:

Up on the ridgetop hikers pause
Out jumps a mama bear with claws
Much pandemonium ensues
I hope you have good running shoes
Whoa!  Whoa!  Whoa!
Thanks for the show
But whoa!  Whoa!  Whoa!
We've gotta go
Down from the ridgetop, holy crap!
It's a good thing we have light packs
