[pct-l] Front Packs

I have a pretty good-sized Lowe Alpine waist pack (can't bring myself to say
"fanny" pack ;^)) that I wear in front. It has a top carry loop that I guide
the sternum strap through so it rides a bit higher. This Lowe Alpine pack
holds almost too much (about 800 ci or so)--several energy bars, knife,
phone, camera, whatever. It has a couple of mesh side pockets and what's
really cool is to have straps underneath that are convenient for stashing a
rain jacket or warm layer. These straps also allow me to put my GPS in one
mesh pocket and digital camera in the other. I clip the strap on each side
through the loops of my camera carrying case and GPS case--that way, they're
accessible and secure.
