"I got this stove - which
uses denatured alcohol AND esbit fuel tabs....so if u can't find the
alcohol then ur covered with the tabs. I haven't used it to cook with
yet, but it's easy to light up and a woman I know says she did the
entire AT with it and loved it. Also, if u don't use all the alcohol u
can easily pour it back into ur container...it's tiny too fits in the
palm of my hand!

A neat little stove, but "heavy" at 1.5 oz.!  ;-) and expensive. A "Pepsi" can stove can be used for Esbit tablets too, just turn it upside down. A larger can like a Fosters beer can or Arizona Ice tea makes a good flame snuffer for a Pepsi can stove, just cut the bottom off the larger can and use that. Make it longer than the stove and use it upside down to cover the stove. WARNING! Practice this in a safe place first, if you don't do it right flames can shoot out around the can or you can knock over the stove if you don't aim carefully. It works best if the stove is on dirt so the snuffer seals well all the way around. Then pour the leftover fuel into the snuffer can and back into your fuel bottle (it can be hard to pour it directly from the stove into a small opening).
