First, don't be surprised if gas-stationesque junk food no longer  
appeals to you after a while.

Don't forget that you can always buy extra food at good stores and  
mail ahead. Sure, it's what you said you wouldn't do, but you won't  
be having to plan it out in advance from home. It'll just be a  
spontaneous thing. I ended up doing that a lot because a lot of food  
comes in packages that contain too much. Rather than toss out extra  
food, I mailed it ahead.
