Would like to know if anyone recently has ridden the PCT (as much as
possible) in it's entirety? Planning to do that in 09 and would like to make
contact with equestrians.

Due to health issues, I managed to drop out of section hiking both
Southern Oregon AND Southern Washington this summer. However, I did
at least get a few pictures of the stretch between the Gorge and
Panther Creek in Washington.

Enjoy. :)

Phoenix, Tucson, Albuquerque... take your pick. In all cases, the urban
boundary is also the USFS Wilderness boundary, with Wilderness trails
located in sight of backyard swimming pools.
Of course, 2 miles into the Wilderness, the crowds tend to evaporate, such
is the attract-repel nature of the desert ranges. So Carolyn's (FS's)
"really busy place" outside Portland may be unimpeachable, depending on your
particular yardstick.

I have a four day weekend, but I'll only be out for the middle of it - Sat
and Sun. About 20+ miles of the PCT. Chinook Pass heading north (I'm not the
trip planner on this one, obviously) lol.
