It's official. PCT is open through from Quincy-LaPorte Road to Belden. PCT
is open through the Lassen National Forest from 5 miles North of Belden to
highway 36 near Chester, and north from there. There is one section of the
PCT which is closed from Belden north 5 miles, but there is a detour.
Here's a quote from PCTA and the Plumas National Forest:

     "The PCT is now OPEN on the Plumas National Forest from the
Quincy-LaPorte Road north to Belden. The PCT is CLOSED approximately 5 miles
from Belden to the Plumas and Lassen National Forest boundary. A reroute
past the closure is available from the PG&E Belden rest stop on Highway 70.
Take the Indian Springs Trail approximately 5 miles. After the trail
connects onto the Soda Creek Road (26N74) head west four miles until the
road crosses the PCT north of Poison Springs. The Indian Springs Trail is
not regularly maintained. ALERT: After approximately three miles the trail
is overgrown and riddled with downed trees and is very difficult to follow;
additionally, it cannot be passed by equestrians. Another re-route option
will be pursued. "

    This is information is a week old. I apologize for being late, and if
someone has already reported the opening I apologize for repeating.

    Not that there are many people left on the trail in this area, but....
