[pct-l] New Shuttle to Snoqualmie Pass

I flew in and took a shuttle to Cle Elum from the airport.  The bus goes over the Pass and I slipped the driver an extra $20 to drop me off at the pass instead of going to Cle Elum.  It was $31 to Cle Elum plus the extra $20.  I was there an hour after I landed.

There is some new transportation at Snoqualmie Pass in Washington that might be of help to hikers needing to go west for a resupply, although it is not cheap.  There is mention of a new shuttle to Snoqualmie Pass in the August edition of the Washington Trails Association magazine. 

According to the article, the purpose of the shuttle is to carry bikers and hikers up I-90 to Snoqualmie Pass beginning in July 2008 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  The shuttle will also provide return service and can make stops at trailheads if you call to pre-arrange it.

It costs $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and youth. 

It runs between Cedar Falls near North Bend and Hyak, east of Snoqualmie Pass.

You must reserve the shuttle in advance by calling 877-BUS UP 90 (877-287-8790) or visit www.busup90.com.
