I met her mom and a group of people the first year they put up flowers on 
her anniversary and had the sad task of giving them directions to get to the 
crossing as part of my Wilderness Steward volunteer duties. Her mom was just 
devastated and that was a couple of years after the fact. They had put 
flowers at the Ramona Falls trailhead previous to that but she hadn't felt 
up to going to the crossing till then.

I've spent enough time up on the mountain to have seen how these water 
crossings can change almost overnight.
