[pct-l] "The Level Playing field"

Just an observation. During last evenings broadcast of the Olympics
we were told that the swimming arena's, "The Cube"(?), pool is
deeper, has special "troughs" (my word) around the edges and lane
dividers that reduce the amount of turbulence around the swimmers.
The end result is that the swimmers are swimming faster. They are
breaking both Olympic and World records. Apparently there are no *'s
by their names that state the the pool's modifications. Oh and I
guess their swim suits are better too. I found myself cheering for
all of them because of their dedication to their sport. I am
cheering for Scott and Joe because of their dedication to hiking.

A 2009 PCT hopeful (I hope I make the cut)
