Joe has wrenched his knee, but they are still getting their miles and 
plan on reaching Stevens Pass Wednesday (tomorrow)  between 4-6 PM and 
the monument the evening of August 18 around 8 PM.
For those still grumbling about them hiking through a fire closure be 
reminded that they encountered fire fighters and Rangers
in the closed area, were not issued any citations but were given the OK 
and blessings to continue.
If the authorities gave their OK and blessings to continue they must 
have felt the conditions were safe enough to do so.  
The authorities have the last word and they have spoken......so what is 
the problem?
Could the problem be sour grapes?
I say swallow those sour grapes and join Andrea's  party tomorrow at 
Stevens Pass or join them at the Monument on the 18th
to congratulate them for their tremendous achievement.
