**In what might be one of the deadliest firefighting incidents in U.S.
history, nine firefighters are presumed dead and four were seriously injured
after their helicopter went down Tuesday night after battling a blaze in
remote Trinity County, northwest of Redding, authorities said today.

Thank you for posting this. The crash being in our "back yard" I'm still trying to process it without all the emotions. Not easy to do. The men and women who fight these fires are highly respected and valued by those of us in northern CA. May the three survivors heal as quickly as possible with as little discomfort as possible.
