[pct-l] Trouble KO'd

I sat next to gentleman from Texas while eating dinner at the KO on Saturday.

He related the following tale:

He'd flown into the airport and ridden the bus to Campo. Exiting the
bus, he removed his pack from the luggage rack and completely ripped
off a should strap.

So there he was, standing near the museum in Campo, consulting with
his daughter by phone, trying to decide his next move.

A fellow approached him and asked if he had a problem.  Matter of
fact, he did.  After explaining his predicament, the stranger said he
was was supporting a couple of other PCT hikers, and would transport
him directly to the KO where he could get his pack repaired.  And
that's just what happened, upon being delivered to Ron Moak.

Just like it never happened.
