I plan to wear that shoe starting the Arizona Trail on Cinco De Mayo in the
desert. My feet are always hot when hiking. I don't think black shoes will
make that much difference if they are comfortable. Just be sure to get the
shoes a size or more larger than your normal size. Your feet will swell in
the heat.

So for some strange reason, my favorite shoe (Salomon XA Pro 3D) is now
pretty much only available in black. Assuming I can't find anything else
that fits as well, would it be bad to wear black shoes from Campo in early
May? I know how a white shirt helps over a black one because it reflects
light, but does it matter much for footwear?
