Jim,
My method is to just carry the 1lb container (the smallest pb jar ive found) only problem is I dont eat 1lb in 4 to 6 days so it usually lasts for 2 resupplies. I suppose if I was really worried about another 8 ounces I would just take out half and carry the jar half full.

Subject: [pct-l] Peanut Butter Container
Greetings,
I'm watching Lynne Whelden's How to Hike the Pacific Crest Trail for
the 20th time. And am reminded that I will be carrying a lot of peanut
butter. How do you carry it? I remember making a few messes. I tried
the collapsible tubes I had bought at REI. Didn't work too well for me.
How do you carry peanut butter?
