Look also at the ages of the people studied---I'm in my 60's too and I know that some people (not me of course) of a certain age are too stiff and uncomfortable to exercise without the help of drugs---not like you young whipper snappers.  FREE



I wonder if the researchers considered the simple possibility that subjects 
train at higher intensity when their muscles hurt less?
