[pct-l] PCT official closure in Sect C

Shutterbug steiner <shutterbugg313 at yahoo.com> wrote:        Due to the Butler 2 fire the PCT is officially closed according to the Inciweb.org.  Looks like about 10 miles have been affected.  VERY SAD it looks like the the SHADED (forested - not burned or not desert) segments of Section C are getting smaller and smaller. 
   
  3 miles between Butler and the OLD fire- still has some shade  
  15+/- Miles around Holcomb to Highway 18.  
  15+/- miles on both sides of  Onxz Summit.
   
  South of Onxz the tundra is recovering from the 06 Mallard Fire.
  Old Fire in 03 affected the PCT all around Deep Creek and Lake Silverwood.

  Pacific Crest Trail - Big Bear Area- The PCT will remain closed from the 3N16/Holcomb Creek crossing on the west side (approx. 2 miles northeast of Crab Flats), to 2N09 (Polique Canyon Rd.) . Little Bear Springs trail camp is closed to public use, due to Butler 2 Fire
