[pct-l] Butler2 Fire

Hello there,

 

I have a hiker in the Cabazon to Campo sections. Water is an issue. Can
anyone tell me if they can confirm there is water out there? We need a quick
response please.

I checked the Old fire perimeter and it is a fair distance west of the 
western edge of this fire.I estimate about 3.8 miles from crab flats rd

Basically the fire is between Delmar Mtn Rd & Crab Flats Rd just about 
10 trail miles give or take 0.3 miles or so...

The Perimeter is a ways back from Crab Flats Rd though on the west (1.1 
miles EST) & nearly to Delmar Mtn Rd on the east (0.75 miles EST)

The last time I was through that way there was a lot of dead trees. this 
is probably burning pretty hot as a result.

I checked the perimeter for 2100hrs on 9/17 and there was no extension 
worth noting to the east & west. There was a retraction on the north an 
a slight extension south in places.

Hopefully they'll keep personnel on scene until we get some rain. So we 
won't have a Butler3 Fire!
