[pct-l] Departing in September

We are up here in Skykomish, Wa.

2003......hikers were thru here by the end of October.

2004....last one here was October 16.

2005......last one October 18.

2006........last one October 20.

2007......last one October 2. A bunch of others quit at Snoqualmie and
Steven's Pass. A few went in the original trail.....came back and a couple
more returned here after trying the road walk to the Trinity trail head.
About 25-30 headed up from Stehekin and had to back track to Stehekin and
Winthrop. Early crazy snow this year. I would suggest being to Cascade Locks
by the last week in September. Every winter is different. The Post Holer is
a good place to check what the snow level is. You can always do Washington
the following year.
