[pct-l] tent paranoia

All this silliness about tents and personalities (VERY FUNNY BTW! :) brings up a question...I really want to convert from regular tent to tarptent for PCT hiking. I really think the Rainbow  would be a good choice as I love side entrance tents ...I own a BA Seedhouse 1, which is for sale, because its a front entrance tent. I should have bought the Hubba. I would buy one now but its heavy..so my question is ...

I am a cold sleeper does the Rainbow's ability to vent  so well make it a colder tent to sleep in ...ie will I freeze in the cold because it will be too well vented/too cold? From the reviews it seems it might be...I will be using a Synthetic fill bag as I am allergic to down (collective moan and sympathy please! ) thus want to counter this extra weight by using tarptent.
