[pct-l] Hiking Alone

I'm a guy and I have to agree about the tent thing. Something about  
having a full tent just makes it feel cozier. Of course, I'll still  
eschew the tent if necessary, but I definitely prefer it. Or at least  
a tarptent that completely surrounds me.

As far as hiking alone guys, I wouldn't be too worried. I mean,  
there's always danger, even for guys, but on the PCT the danger of  
something related to society happening to you (person to person crime,  
that is) is very low. Perhaps find a group to stick with when  
hitchhiking or going into town, but on the trail I'd say the danger is  
pretty low. Be more worried about bears eating all your food than  
another person. :P
