I've had a couple of e-mails asking me about Mountain Gazette.

Mountain Gazette is a cool little magazine published in Colorado.

It can be best be described as the dirt baggers outdoor magazine. Outdoors as a lifestyle as opposed to a gear-fueled hobby. It is my favorite outdoor magazine. High quality writing from the spectrum of cranky libertarian types to hippy tree huggers. Despite the differences in views, there is an obvious love for the outdoors from eveyone. Every crag, canyon, trail and river is exalted. It ain't about the gear....

Mr. Coyote was written about and has written in to this magazine.

Check it out:

I suspect he and I share some views, and differ on others. Though I may not agree with him in some ways, the articles are both worth reading and thinking about. Perhaps he and I should have that bowl of pasta fazool at some point. I'll even provide the camp chair!

(I personally call myself a dirt bag minimalist as opposed to an ultra lighter. Fits with the KISS principle for me..and my general lazy nature. :D)
