Switchback’s typing error. He meant to say camping at the Mt. Laguna Lodge. Or
was it the Blue Jay Lodge? Oh, well, we know what he meant.

Yes, I have to admit that was a funny one from AsABat. The Night Stalker of
the Trail. The Saboteur of the Innocent Camper. Actually, I was thinking
of staying at the Orchard Hill Inn (_http://www.orchardhill.com/_
(http://www.orchardhill.com/) ) in Julian. It is outstanding and the price includes a
grommet dinner with wine. The rooms are first class. It has Switchback's seal
of approval, so you know it is good.

Sometimes when I go the April PCT Kickoff, I sneak off before dinner and
head to town for a luxury massage, dinner, and room. Everyone thinks I am in
the park somewhere or in my tent. It's a great scam. The next day I hold my
SuperSecrets of Backpacking seminar and everyone thinks I am a trail
mountainman. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Another con pulled off by Switchback on the trail
community. It's too much fun. I think I will do it this coming year too.
Sometimes I go down to the Indian casino and have nice trout dinner and then
gamble. There are all sorts of fun things to do around the Kickoff, including
staying at Warner Springs Resort and harassing thru hikers, which I have
done the last two years.

Say, I should announce the big birthday breakfast at Jack's in Bishop, CA
coming up in January. I will be 61 year's old. More to follow later.
