Mark-

When you figure out how to do it, send instructions to the rest of us! I can't say I have any significant air trap issues with ziplocs tho. Still, I'm always willing to learn a better way. But one of my crusades in life is to rid the world of twisty ties! That and those dumb square(ish) plastic closures for bread bags. The twisties and the plastic ones get tossed first thing upon opening a new loaf. Instead I just make a loose knot in the wrapper to close it. If I use twisties on the trail, it means I'm going to be p.o.'d at least once every day when I start trying to un-twist the twisties in the wrong direction, then the right one, then the wrong one again......well, you get my point. Could be a real hinderance to the correct mental attitude on a thru........

I'm just sayin'............

Wheeew

Ziplocks trap air easier, and tend take up more space
in the canister, but twisty ties are wasted weight.
Instead, there is an ingenius way to tie the top of a
baggie with itself, that takes a mere tug to undo when
needed.

Once i figure out how to do it, then i can start
hiking solo instead of taking my girlfriend with me
all the time. :p
