[pct-l] Calif i-10 to Big Bear

I did two day-hikes from the mid point over Thanksgiving, one north and one south.  The trail is exposed with little shade, but in good shape.  Night temps at midpoint were in the low 40's.  Night Temps at Big Bear are below freezing.  Water is running but is oilly to the touch.  I did not drink any of it.
