[pct-l] Bears and Stuff

If you do choose to carry food outside the canister, put it in odor-proof bags. If the food odors (Chewing gum is especially potent) transfer to your pack or hipbelt pocket, the bears will go after that smell.  They won't find anything, but they might just try to carry your whole pack off. Happened to me in Lyell Canyon 2 years ago.
