[pct-l] Bad luck: windy winter hiking

I was all set to finish a family Thanksgiving trip to
Orange County with a quick hole-plugging hike from
Swarthout Valley Road to Reeve Ranch Road, four miles
that I had missed up to now, an ideal bit for winter
hiking, so I thought. I had planned that for
Saturday...

and now there is a Red Flag fire alert for Friday
afternoon through Saturday, especially for the area
around Cajon Pass, which just happens to be right
where I wanted to go. My plan B, Lake Silverwood
to Deep Creek, also looks like a bad idea.

I know it's hard to picture for those in the Pacific
Northwest, but even very cold November air can be a
fire
hazard at 60mph and 5% humidity.

Oh well, maybe I can log some miles around Christmas.

Does anybody have any current information about
the trail around that area (end of C, beginning
of D) after the fires of last month?
