Ray was shopping at the "99 cents only" store today and found an 
interesting flashlight deal.
For 99cents, you get a 2  LED light that has a hand-pump for charging 
the battery.  It weighs 70 grams.
So, you get 2 leds, you don't ever need batteries.  Just pump it up when 
the light gets dim. 
As cheap as these are, you could carry one and toss a few into your 
bounce box, in case the failure rate is high. 
He weighed a 9 volt battery and it was 45 grams all by itself.
This is the Trulite made by K-LITE , model number KL1803 described as 
"compact self-charging LED flashlight, no batteries needed."
