I have decided to change my shelter to the MRS Hubba tent. I need a side
entry tent for easier access and exit. Besides, I want to be like everyone
else that has one. As you know I think 95% of shelters are less than acceptable
because they block you from the great outdoors in one way or another.

I am going to get some carbon fiber poles from _www.fibraplex.com._
(http://www.fibraplex.com.) And I have cut my foam pads to fit the floor of the Hub
ba, so I will have wall to wall foam. Nice and the foam floor only weighs
around 7 ounces. Part of the floor is double foam and with my torso pad inside
the tent, some of the floor under me will be triple foam! With my pillow, I
cannot wait to take a nice meritorious combat nap in my new shelter.

Another thing I like is the different ways the tent fly can be set up in
rain. I really like the one where I can have the fly rolled over the door and
see all the action going on outside. I like to watch the rain, wind, and
lightning --- Mother Nature flexing her muscles and letting everyone know who is
the boss.

I still wish they would make these tents out of cuben fabric and use
titanium poles. Also, I do not like the solid fabric at the top of the tent. It
blocks some of my nighttime star viewing, but it is not real bad. I figure the
shelter should weigh around 2.5 pounds, which is okay for a freestanding 360
degree view tent.

For some excellent pictures of this tent go to _www.moontrail.com_
(http://www.moontrail.com) and look under 3-season shelters. I will buy mine at
REI.com.

Thank you for your attention for this important change in backpackerdom.

Your pal, Switchback the 360 Degree Views Camper
