[pct-l] Denatured alcohol...

years ago, I used a can lid as a simmer plate so I could simmer some 
food over a Svea 123. The simmer plate apparently caused the stove to 
overheat and pop the safety valve which then let out a jet of flaming 
gas. I threw water over the stove cooling it and putting out the fire. 
fortunately, we were camped on bare soil and granite so the fire didn't 
spread.

Canister stoves can overheat and explode also.

this just emphasizes that any lit stove is a potential fire hazard!
