Subject: Pain depressant

Hi Gang, ......Hi Ed,
I'm back by popular demand........... for a limited time only.
Thanks for all the get well wishes. I did not know that I had so many friends on the PCT-L.
Thanks a lot again. It helps to ease the pain.
I have been relatively injury free for most of my life, but the last four years, it's been one thing after another. Ruptured disk from a fall in the Grand Canyon in 2002; reconstructive shoulder surgery on the left shoulder from a high speed skiing crash; now surgery on the right shoulder to repair massive rotary cuff damage also from a skiing accident.
My plans for this year were to do a Grand Canyon hike in May, a Yosemite hike in early summer, a SOB JMT with my wife in 17 days, and then do an unsupported solo JMT shooting for a sub five. This was going to be my JMT grand finale.
At 66 I'm getting too old for this extreme stuff. I may still do the JMT with my wife, but I don't think I will be able to whoop myself back into shape in time for another shot at lowering the record.

Oooohh........the pain is getting unbearable.......I stopped taking prescription pain killers which made me nauseated and throw up and switched to Jim Beam for pain depressant......I HATE PAIN !!!
I think it is time for a snort of Jim Beam.
Here's one to Monte, here's one to Deems, (I know they believe in pain depressants) here's one to Switchback and Ed, here's one to all my other hiking buddies and to all who wished me well, here is one to all my ski buddies and Marine buddies and all the girls I loved before.....Ooohh.....I better stop this.
It's funny how this pain depressant makes me much more sensitive to and aware of the earth spinning on its axis.
Ooohhh.....it's really spinning now......I better lie down for a while.
There, I feel much better now thanks to Jim Beam,.........I mean pain depressant.

JMT Reinhold
