I think you should drop your miles per day to about 6...Be sure to add in a few layover days, too...That way it should take approximately a month and a half to cover the JMT...

I'd like to see Switchback and Tom Reynolds going head to head.  I'll offer sherpa services (for money of course) but you'll have to wait until next year.  Sly

That is a great point.  Who can be the laziest hiker on the JMT?  Who can gain the most body weight on their hike?  Who can set the standard for going first class on their hike?  I wonder if getting a massage and a hot wax peach flavor spa pedicure on the hike is pushing the envelope too much?  I see this as a JMT Yo-Yo expedition.   Switchback
