Fribraplex already has poles for the Hubba Hubba listed as one pole,
originally 19.1 oz/541g, made in a one carbon fiber pole weighing 9.8
oz/278g for $130 at http://www.fibraplex.com/ebay/MSRHubbaHubba.htm
Beware, carbon fiber poles are fragile. I snapped mine is a very heavy
rainstorm as I tried to push it through a wet sleeve and it was sticking. I
will carry a 4 inch piece of tubing for a quick field repair.
YITGO...yours in the great outdoors, a variation of Will's YITOOD

Subject: [pct-l] Hubba Tent Carbon Fiber Poles
Below is the email I got back from MSR on getting carbon fiber tent poles
for the Hubba tent. I might check it out and see how much the weight
saving
is. I really need to get a side entry 360 degree view netting tent. Your
pal,
Switchback

Thank you for the e-mail. It is possible to have carbon poles made for
your
Hubba tent. We do not have them, sell them, or make them for folks, but I
can help. First, try a company called Tent Pole Technology whom can be
reached at (360) 260-9527 or _www.polesforyou.com_
(http://www.polesforyou.com/) .
Secondly try a company called Fibraplex whom can be reached at
_www.fibraplex.com_ (http://www.fibraplex.com/) or (866) 327-2759. I hope
this helps and
if you have any further questions, let me know.
