Paul,
Whoa!  $700 is excessive for anything other than eiderdown which could
easily top $1000.  Do consider the dual Arc alpinist though for $552 as an
alternative to 2 BCBs.  I don't mean to give you the hard sell on Nunatak
stuff.  The Ray-Way quilt will likely serve you very well at a fraction of
the price.  The main disadvantages will be in weight and compressibilty.  I
think that a two person synthetic quilt would be very bulky so it might be
worth it to get the zipper separator that Ray sells as an option.  Also, you
might take some lessons from Nunatak when sewing your quilt.  One of the
reasons that i like mine so much is the straps underneath that hold the
quilt in place and the drawstring at the neck.  These features could easily
be integrated into your Ray Way kit. Good Luck!
