>Incidentally, you can keep track of the snow levels by looking at:

For a 'to-date' graphical plot of the above, see
<http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/current/PlotSWC>...

The more noted pct-l prognosticators might be reporting in fairly soon...

Don't forget to check out all the great info included at Postholer,
<http://postholer.com/>, also...
It's 'fun' to check out the historical data, too... Under the "2006-2007 Season
heading, click on the "monster snow" link...
After studying the "monster snow" of 2006, change date to 2005 - lots of Sierra
snow, but less than average in WA - a 'good' sobo year...
2001 would have been a decent year for both nobo and sobo; 1999 would NOT have
been a fun sobo; and if you were dead set on doing a nobo in 1983 - maybe you
should have stayed home...

Also check out the Postholer Journals - the PCT 2007 has some names you might
recognize from the pct-l...

2007 should be a 'good' nobo year...

Happy trails!!!
Jim
