Here's a report on an 11 year old boy killed by a bear in an Utah 
campground.  As is usual in these cases, the victim's family is blaming 
the authorities, but not themselves or others for creating the situation.

This incident also is an example of why using bear canisters or otherwise preventing bears from getting your food is so important.  If a bear gets your food, someone else may pay the price before the bear does.
