[pct-l] Missing the Trail

Well it's officially started.
   
    The temperature here in San Diego (Lakeside) was 28 degrees last night. Of course I got my sleeping gear out and slept in the back yard. Somehow the cold and rain of winter makes me long for the trail.
    In the morning the wife was asking me if I was going to leave the family alone again this year for the summer. You said, "I'll stay home next year". What about the money? This is the last year our oldest will be home, she starts college next year. The boys need there father.
    I knew what the arguments were going to be for the next few hours. What could I say? Yes, I'll be hiking the PCT again this summer.
    All of her points are valid. But when I close my eyes I see vast meadows, sky blue frozen lakes and forests that go on forever. I wont be happy until I explore just a little bit more.
