I thought about those. What I ended up getting is this:

only I found it at WalMart for about $12, and it came in black or
white, and with adapters in center or set off to the side (so it'll
fit other players). Weighs an ounce without battery, and is about the
size of a roll of quarters. Takes 1 AA battery.
