I haven't found anything to  wrap around the coffee filter. Just 
kidding, I need to change the coffee  filter periodically.


I'm not sure if you know what I meant. I'm talking bout the Katatyn  Hiker.  
Besides  the acorn, a coffee filter can be wrapped around the  filter element 
aka cartridge.  I'm just wondering if doing  so would prolong the filter 
element.
