Cool Knife Matt.............. I want one

I've been using the same Henkels paring knife for almost 20 years for 
backpacking.  This one has a very thin blade that I reground razor sharp.
Easily cuts silnylon for gear repairs on the trail.  (Also amazing for pie 
crusts!)  With homade plastic sheath.....................0.6 ounces

A lot of thru hikers use those mini swiss army knives

I've tried just the blade from a Stanley utility knife (box cutter) with 
plastic 
sheath................................................................. 2+ 
grams

This year I hiked with a single edge razor blade.  (any food gets cut in 
advance) with plastic sheath................................under 2 grams

I found I rarely need a knife and never needed more than the razor blade... 
and of course it was "razor sharp" too.
