[pct-l] Bringing friends to hike part of the trail - could use some suggestions

hi paul-

i'd say your plan to have them join you for section A is the best 
option, for all the reasons you state. as for thwarting your chances of 
bonding with other hikers in the first week, don't let that worry you at 
all. this is a LONG trip- it's hard to appreciate how epic it is until 
you get out there and do it. you'll be meeting people and switching up 
your hiking buddies constantly along the way. heck, i was still meeting 
some thru hikers for the first time even in washington!
