Hiked in a kilt on the AT in 2003 to deal with chafe. We had so much rain I was more worried about rust and mildew than sunburn. Despite the excellent ventillation, things are a little dark down there so personally, I wouldn't be worried about exposure "downunda"

So i've heard all about the sunburn that results on the undersides of
everything from snow reflection. Now, I have to hike in a kilt because of
chafing issues, but I'm a little worried about sunburning myself hiking over
snow in a kilt. Anyone have experience in this matter?

Thanks
