In 2005 Warner Springs store was a dreamland of hiker food and fully stocked for re-supply-although expensive. Also the hiker box was so overfilled I couldn't help myself and was carrying about eight days of food to get to Idyllwild. So you could re-supply for free if your willing to take a risk and aren't picky. Mortal Dave
