It can freeze at night during any time of the year.  Prudence would dictate 
bringing sufficient clothing to survive such temperatures, in order to be 
prepared for aggravating circumstances (injury, equipment malfunction, 
pouring rain, et cetera).

Mind you, many succssfully bring fewer clothes and tough out the cold 
nights, but personally I such an approach to be irresponsible.
