Mid to high 20's in SoCal through the Sierra's happens frequently enough to 
carry appropriate gear for the entire hike. NorCal through most of Oregon is 
pretty darn nice. Washington is a crap shoot as far as temp, just plan for 
wet.

Your mileage will vary.
